One of God’s most awe inspiring creations is not far away. You do not have to travel to see it. It is the night sky. On a clear night the multitude of stars is beautiful! The Bible speaks of the stars often. “Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!” —Job 22:12. “Canst thou bind the sweet infl uences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?” “Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven?” —Job 38:31, 33.
The stars are not only objects of beauty to be admired. They have been very useful tools throughout the history of mankind. Each and every star was made by God and placed by His hand. As we gaze into the sky at night, we can see the great power and magnifi cence of our mighty God written across the heavens. As you learn to name the stars and understand more about them, think on Him Who made the stars, and praise Him! Praise His name in all the earth!
